Origins
Petrogylphs.com was started in 2009 to help our fellow Native American Indian artisans. We used the symbol of the "Kokepelli" to share the belief that we are all connected. The word petrogylphs (a misspelling of the word "petroglyphs") was used to convey that we all shared a common language in the past that is still visible today. The company is located on the Navajo Nation in Fort Defiance, Arizona. The products are from a variety of southwest Native American Indian art, jewelry | jewellery, crafts, and sculptures from: Navajo, Hopi, Acoma, and Zuni tribal Indians. "Support the Native American Artisan" is our goal to market and sell Native American Indian Artwork to the world.
The need to start Petrogylphs.com came from seeing other Native American Indian artisans struggle to sell their artwork. The idea to sell our art directly to people was something we wanted to accomplish. No middle man. Petrogylphs was a hope because of the countless hours creating a piece and only have to sell it to cover the gas spent to get to town. Take a look at our selection of items. We are working on getting more artisans to join us. "Like Us" on Facebook and join our newsletter for updates, discounts, and a chance to be entered in our monthly drawing.
Native American Indian Partnership Program
We would like to offer an opportunity to partner with Petrogylphs.com to any Native American Indian Artisan. This partnership will allow the Native American Indian artisans to submit their work to sell or market on our website. We hope that by partnering with other Native American Indian Artisans we can try to fulfill our main goal of "Supporting Native Americans Indian Artisans." The complete details of the Native American Partnership program can be found at Native American Partnership Program.
